If you encounter the following ETRAN validation message: “For Principal, Tax ID XXX, Country of Principal Residence is a mandatory field (4465),” please follow the steps below to resolve it:

1. Access CAFS and search for the SBA application number you created in Ventures.
2. Under the principal referenced in the validation, find the field labeled “Country of Principal Residence.” (See screenshot below.)
3. Select the appropriate country of residence, save the page, and then click Validate.

Once completed, the validation should be cleared and you can click Submit to move application into "In Compliance Review".
