The SBA requires lenders to provide an environmental report to the third-party lender, certifying compliance with SOP 504 50 107 7.1. This document, titled "Environmental Approval Letter to 3rd Party Lender" can be found in the Documents section of your loan's Overview menu:
- Click Documents
- In the submenu that appears click Generate
- Use the search bar to search to narrow down the available forms till you see the form titled "Environmental Approval Letter to 3rd Party Lender." Click it to begin the generation process.
- In the pop up select the collateral property the form is related to.
- You can choose to download the form as a word file or PDF we strongly recommend selecting Word. It is recommended that the document be downloaded as a Word file, as you will need to input the report date and select which report is being provided.
- Once you make the selections above, click next to generate the form. It may download automatically, or depending on your settings it may ask you where you want to save the form. Either way once it downloads click it to open it and input the report date and select which report is being provided.
The document pulls from the following fields in your loan.

Lender Information: This is pulled from the third-party lender, along with the assigned loan officer.

Collateral Address: This is the collateral selected during the document generation process.

Environmental Company: This is pulled from the "Prepared by" field in the Collateral Environmental tab.

Signer: The first signer for the organization is pulled from the Partner Contacts screen.
