Click here to return to the NACHA hub page.
The permission set assigned to a user affects what areas they can see, and what actions they can do in the system. If you want a user to be able to access screens related to NACHA files you should enable the following permissions. An administrator account is required to make these changes.
Before we continue please note, every user who is assigned the user permissions set you are editing will have the same permissions. We do not recommend modifying the default “Regular User” permission role. Instead you should copy it and then adjust their access settings as needed. Then assign any users you want to have expanded access to the newly created role.
- Click the cog/gear wheel icon to access the Administration section of Ventures
- In the Administration section click on User Access in the menu on the left a submenu will appear.
- In the submenu click Permissions. A list of all the Permission sets will appear.
- Use the copy button to copy the Regular User permission set. A pop up will appear. The copy button should be in the column directly next to the name of the permission set. It looks like two papers with folded corners stacked one in front of the other.
- In the pop up change the name of the set to indicate that this is the permission set with expanded access to NACHA capabilities.
- Click the tab labeled “Menu Item”
- In the section labeled “Main Menu” find the field labeled “Payments”
- In the “Payments” field use the dropdown menu to select Enable. This will give any users with this permission set access to the Payments section of Ventures, if you have the Payment module as part of your Ventures package.
- In the “Payments” section enable these options using their respective dropdown menus.
- Actions Menu - enabled for import NACHA payments
- Utilities - enabled for NACHA export
- Please Note: Access to create ODFI Originator records or NACHA batches is through the main menu Administration section of Ventures. If you want the user to have access to these settings, you will have to enable access to the Administration section of Ventures. This will give them access to all Administration settings in Ventures. If you want to give them this power, in the main menu section, set the Administration field to Enabled. Remember this will make any users assigned this permission set a site Administrator with full access to the Administration section of Ventures.
- Select the “Action” tab
- In the section labeled “CRM” you can give the user the ability to edit Company ACH information by Enabling the field labeled “Edit Company ACH”.
- Review the changes you have made and click save.
Now you have to assign users to the permission set you have just created.
