The mapping for every field of the new 1244 and where it is in Ventures is attached and found in this KB article. Below are about 10 highlights.
**There are two Lender actions that need to be taken care of to map project cost types properly to the new 1244.**
- *LENDER ACTION* We added a dropdown to the Cost Type mapping for Administrators. This "1244 Purpose of the Loan" dropdown will map to the new "Purpose of the Loan" section on the Borrower Information Form. The SBA understands that not all of the Use of Proceeds values have a place to map to in the Purpose of the Loan table. The Purpose of Loan table has fewer options than the Use of Proceeds table. The SBA has asked that only those specific cost types that have a matching value be noted and it is not necessary for it to match the total project cost. Therefore, professional fees and other costs do not need to be mapped.
Site Administrators, please select the correct 1244 Purpose of the Loan option for each your Project Cost Types. (Gear Icon > Reference > Loan > Cost Types).
We recommend creating two new Project Costs. One for Debt Refinancing With Expansion and one for Debt Refinancing Without Expansion. If you create a new Cost Type, remember to add it to the Cost Type list of the Loan Type so that it will be visible in the Project Costs area of a loan.
- *LENDER ACTION* We added a new "Other Secured Debt to be Refinanced" value to the 504 Use of Proceed dropdown in the Cost Type mapping for Administrators. This will map to the new "Other Secured Debt to be Refinanced" row of the Project Funding Sources and Uses table on the CDC Information Form and in CAFS.
Site Administrators, please update the 504 Use of Proceed mapping for any Cost Types that should now map to "Other Secured Debt to be Refinanced". (Gear Icon > Reference > Loan > Cost Types).
We recommend creating a new Project Cost for "Other Secured Debt to be Refinanced". If you create a new Cost Type, remember to add it to the Cost Type list of the Loan Type so that it will be visible in the Project Costs area of a loan.
- There will be a new left navigation menu.
- We renamed the "Questionnaire" page to be "1244"
- We matched the tabs on the 1244 page with the format of the new 1244 form.
- We have a Borrower Info tab with a list of applicants. Click on each of their names to answer the questions from the Borrower Information Form.
- We have the CDC Info tab where you'll find all the questions from the CDC Information Form.
- We moved the Exhibits left navigation page to be a tab on the 1244 page. It is now located between the CDC Info tab and the ETRAN Related tab.
- We added links to all the linked fields in the 1244 tabs. This way, people will be able to quickly identify what is a linked field and easily go to the place it is located elsewhere in Ventures. This will also be an indication that what changes in one place, changes in the other. So, be careful about changes to linked fields.
- We added a table to the additional pages of the ownership section of the Borrower Information Form. It shows the "Beneficial Ownership" of the applicant. We added this KB article to explain how that works. Below is an example of what the table looks like.
- The ability to manually allocate "Sources and Uses" functionality will now be available on 504 loans. There is a new checkbox to enable that functionality. When that is checked, you'll see fields to allocate project costs to each funding source category from the Sources and Uses table of the 1244.
The checkbox will default to be unchecked. When unchecked, Ventures will automatically allocate funds based on the percentage of the Total Financing that each Financing Source represents.
- The "Sources and Uses" allocation for project costs will populate in the Project Funding Sources and Uses table of question 8 in the CDC Information Form based on the automated solution described above or the manual allocation entered if the "Manually Allocate Sources and Uses" checkbox is checked.
- We split out the combined CAIVRS and SAM credit memo content block into their own separate content blocks. We removed the CAIVRS content block from the SLPC credit memo. Wherever the combined content block was, we replaced it with both (except for the SLPC credit memo). If you use a custom credit memo and you want to remove CAIVRS from it, you'll need to update your credit memo web template. Here is a KB article about how to manage web templates.
