- Any data listed in green means the data has not been saved yet.
- Data in orange indicates there is an error in the statement, click on the field for an explanation.
- Any fields that are bordered in purple indicate the field has the ability to, but has not been set up to import data from another location in Ventures. To enable the link:
- Click the purple field and click link to Ventures Data
- When linked the field will have a blue border.
- To unlink the data, click it, select unlink.
Company statement specific:
- If you click the icons that say “abcd” next to the Debit and Credit columns, a pop up will appear in which you can explain the source of the credit or debit adjustment.
- In the pop up assign the note a label and a description, then click ok.
- If you click on the view button, there are some options that affect how the statement is laid out.
- If you select Full View, you will see all the rows of the statements. The abbreviated view will show a more streamlined version of the statement. This does not change the calculations, just the view.
- The common size percentage tells you the percentage value of that row in relation to the total. For example, if the asset total is 100 and the data in the row is 10, the common size percentage would be 10%.
- The trend analysis percentage will display the percentage change from one period to the next for each row. In the example below, for the period 2020 the Total Current Assets was 100. In 2021 it increased to 150. With the trend analysis percentage option selected, the system will calculate that this represents a 50% Increase.
- You can only choose one of the percentage options. The percentage selected will be the one used when printing or exporting from the financial area. SBA Lenders please note, SBA requires the Common Size option.
- The tabs and sections portion of the view list allows you to show or hide the tabs in the statement.
- The icons in the header of the period can give you information at a glance. If you click on the period heading, you can update some of the settings for the period.
- An icon that looks like a paper with a little folded edge indicates that this period has been marked to be included in Forms and Reports.
- An icon that looks like a star means this period has been marked to include in Proforma calculations.
- A lock icon means the period has been locked and cannot be edited.
Personal Statement Specific:
- The menu looks slightly different for Personal Statements.
- The icons in the header of the period can give you information at a glance. If you click on the period heading, you can update some of the settings for the period.
- An icon that looks like a paper with a little folded edge indicates that this period has been marked to be included in Forms and Reports.
- A lock icon means the period has been locked and cannot be edited.
