As part of our update to integrate Gateway into Ventures, we have consolidated document types into one list that is administered in Ventures. You can find more information about the update here. To ensure continuity, as part of the update, we will migrate any existing Gateway document types into the Ventures document types list, and preserve any settings that are setup in Gateway. You can find out more about managing your Gateway document types in Ventures here. This article explains how the migration will preserve the settings for your document types as they move from Gateway to Ventures. You will not have to re-enter your document settings due to the update.
To access a Ventures document type popup where the screenshot below comes from, you will need a site administrator account. To reach the screen seen below:
- Click Administrator in the menu at the top of the page
- Click Reference in the menu on left of the Administration page that loads
- Click Documents, a submenu will appear
- Click Types in the submenu
- Click the name of the document in the description column that you want to access the settings for.
- To review the Gateway section of the document type popup, you must have the Gateway Requests option enabled. This will be enabled automatically for all document types migrating from Gateway.

Notes:
- If the Gateway document type is set to active (label 1), when the migration occurs, the system will automatically enable the Gateway Requests checkbox for the corresponding Ventures document type.
- Any templates you have (label 5), will be migrated over, you will not have to reupload templates.
