The SBA 504 Loan Program offers financing to small businesses so they can create new jobs and improve the local economy.  Every year - as an exhibit to your SBA Annual Report - 504 lenders have to provide a Jobs report to SBA.

We have a workbook guide attached to this article that contains in depth examples of how to collect job data and how to run the report.

We have a KB article covering how to collect job data. Click here to access the article.

FAQ

1)  Where can I locate the Jobs Report within Ventures to submit to SBA?

The Annual Job Report that is submitted to SBA is located in the Reports & LettersBulk Letters menu. Use the search bar to search for "Annual Job Report" if you do not see it in the table. Click it to open it and start the generation process.

2)  I'm unable to see loans in Liquidation status on the report.  Why is that?

The instructions on SBA Form 1253 indicate that accelerated loans should not be included in the report.  Please refer to attachment within this article for further clarification.  Ventures will - by default - omit the Sub-status of LiquidatedSBA Serviced and Charged-Off from the report

3)  How do I show the portfolio of more organizations within my main organization report?

The report within Ventures is generated per CDC Organization via a drop-down as shown below. The Organization is set within a loan in the General General tab for each loan in your portfolio.  There is no way to combine the reports unless you choose to change the Organization name within the Overview page > General tab for said loans.

4)  Why aren't some of my loans appearing on the report?

It could be a number of reasons however the most frequent error we see is that the loan(s) do not have a project property designated.  The report is looking for the user to pick the State(s) which is tied to the loans in your portfolio.  If there's no project property address for your loan then the loan will not appear on the report.

5)  Where would I update the Portfolio job Ratio within Ventures?

Your Site Administrator will need to update the Portfolio Job Ratio within Administration > Organizations.  He/she will need to click on the Organization Name hyperlink and then click on the Fees tab to update the field labeled Portfolio Job Ratio.

6) Why do my prepaid loans show on the report?

This is to satisfy the requirements outlined in this excerpt from SBA Form 1253 (01-18)
