VENTURES

ALL LENDERS - Race Dropdown Changes

We split a couple of combined Race dropdown values into their own individual values and added an "Other" option. There is a short KB article about this HERE.

  • Both "American Indian" and "Alaskan Native" will map to the combined value ("American Indian / Alaskan Native") for 504 and 7(a) purposes.
  • Both "Native Hawaiian" and "Other Pacific Islander" will map to the combined value ("Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander") for 504 and 7(a) purposes.
  • "Other" will map to "Not Disclosed" for 504 and 7(a) purposes.
  • Each of these will report as their individual values for CDFI Transaction Level Reporting.

For Apply+ users, you can update your applications to have that individualized Race dropdown or you can leave yours as is. If you leave the combined value, it will transfer to and be used in Ventures until an individual value is selected.

ALL LENDERS - Gender Dropdown changes

We now include the option "Other" in the gender dropdown. This will map to “Not Disclosed” for SBA purposes relating to 504 and 7(a) loans. This will map to “OTHER” for CDFI Transaction Level Reporting. There is a short KB article about this HERE.

Search for a Report Field

Exciting news for all report builders and users! We have added a search box in the Reports > Fields tab to help users find specific fields to add to reports. The search query will look for field names. It will not look for any of the field category names, like "Contact Notes." Some fields will not have the same name as what is shown in the UI, so keep that in mind when searching. For instance, custom fields that use words such as “number” or “percentage” will show a “#” or “%” in the report field name, so a user would have to search "#" instead of "number" to pull in the correct result. Watch our short video HERE showing the process!

Custom Fields and TLR Reporting

We have added the ability for Site Administrators to create custom fields, and the ability to generate Transaction Level Reporting used by CDFI's, in Ventures! We have a quick overview video within our KB article for Custom Fields HERE and we have a KB article which includes a quick overview video for TLR HEREWatch the recorded webinar that was previously held highlighting the custom fields and TLR features HERE.

NEW - Added Financing Source Standard Object for Custom Data

You are now able to add custom fields in the Financing Source records. As a reminder, Standard Objects are existing menus and sections of Ventures where you can choose to add your custom fields in the Custom Fields tab. Custom Objects will appear under the Custom Data menu option in the loan menu on the left side of the screen. For more information, please see our KB Article Custom Fields.

APPLY

Are you adding Custom Fields to your Ventures site?

You can add these fields to your Apply application(s) and have the data map to the custom fields when you push the record to Ventures. Be sure to review the "Add a Field" section in the KB Article Apply Application Form Edits for more info!

Race Dropdown Changes

As mentioned earlier, Ventures  has split a couple of combined Race dropdown values into their own individual values and added an "Other" option. There is a short KB article about this HERE. You can update your application forms to match the new Race dropdown sections or you can leave the current dropdown as is. If you leave the race dropdown with combined values, it will still transfer to and be used in Ventures until an individual value is selected. If you have specialized mapping in the Administration > External Sync menu, you will want to make sure that the new incoming value from Apply matches what is in Ventures.
