Tracking SAM Exclusions Search and Data Input within Ventures
Ventures has enabled new fields to allow for the tracking of the SAM Exclusions search for Entities, Agents, Principals, Trusts. This new feature can be viewed at a glance from within a loan in Ventures > Verification > SAM menu. The SAM data recorded will also flow to the system SLPC Credit Memos > CAIVRS/SAM section 5.4 (formerly labeled CAIVRS).
SAM Exclusion tracking fields for Agents:
- In order for the SAM tracking fields to appear within Verification > SAM for Agents, a Referral Source must be added and the 159 Agreement Required checkbox must be checked
- The Agent Referral Source data is recorded within Ventures > Partner Contacts > Primary tab > Referral Sources section (bottom of the page)
- Assuming an Agent has been added and the 159 Agreement Required checkbox has been checked: Access Verification > SAM and click on the hyperlinked Referral name
- When you click on the hyperlinked Referral name an Edit Contact pop up will appear and you will be able to input the SAM Verification Date, SAM Expiration Date, and Exclusion Status > Click Save to save your data
- The Agent information will be displayed within the Verification > SAM menu but it will not merge onto the SLPC Credit Memo
SAM Exclusion tracking fields For Entities, Trusts, Principals:
- The SAM Exclusion tracking fields for Entities, Trusts, Principals are located within the Entity, Trust, and/or Principal record > Credit & Identification tab and will also be displayed and accessible from within the Verification > SAM menu
- If the Entity, Trust, and/or Principal falls under the SBA issued guidelines for a SAM search and does not have a Credit & Identification tab visible please check the Verification > SAM menu to see if a record has been created, if so click on the hyperlinked name to access the SAM tracking fields. If you do not see the record created within Verification > SAM menu and do not see a Credit & Identification tab please notify Ventures Support via the Ventures Knowledge Base Portal by using the Submit Ticket widget located on the upper right hand corner.
- To access the SAM tracking fields from the Verification > SAM menu click on any of the hyperlinked Entity, Contact, and/or Referral records and a pop up will appear and land you on the Credit & Identification tab where you will be able to access, edit, add the SAM tracking data
