The Tax Transcripts Page

You can order tax transcripts, and view the results of your orders in the Tax Transcripts menu. To access this menu, from the overview page of the loan:

  • Click on Verification in the menu on the left.
  • Click on Tax Transcripts in the submenu that appears.

The Tax Transcripts menu option contains two tabs, a Verification tab and an Order Transcripts tab.

The Verification tab is not mandatory to use, it is used to keep track of tax transcripts that have been ordered and/or verified. It can function as an audit log.

  • Ensure you are on the Verification tab.
  • Click Add to create an entry.

  • The Add Tax verification pop up will appear. Select if the record pertains to a company or contact, then select the specific company or contact from the drop down menu.
  • Fill in the tax year date, and any other information you wish to record.
  • Click save.

To edit an entry:

  • Click the name of the company or contact. The edit pop up will appear.

  • Make your edits. The pop up contains the same fields as the Add Tax Verification pop up pictured above.
  • Click save.

To delete a record

  • Click the X icon next to the name of the contact or company.

  • In the confirmation pop up that appears, click the delete button.

You can generate form 4506: Individual and form 4506: Entity from this tab.

  • Click the button for the form you want to generate.
  • The form will generate and download automatically, or you will be asked where you want to save the download before it starts, depending on your browser settings.

The Order Transcript Tab allows you to order tax transcripts directly through ventures. This is a feature that requires additional set up. If you cannot select a Tax Transcript Provider in the dropdown field, it means the tax transcript feature has not been enabled. Contact your site administrator for more information.

  • Click the Order Transcripts Tab. You will see a loading bar that indicates Ventures is checking for and update any ongoing order requests.
  • The Order Transcripts Tab will load. You will see records for any transcripts already ordered. Click the Order Transcripts button.

  • Choose your Tax Transcript Provider, and fill in the rest of the fields.
  • Click Place Order

  • You will return to the Order Transcripts Tab. Ventures will create the record of your order in the table.
  • Ventures will send you an automated email to confirm the order has been placed, if it gets rejected or canceled, and when it has been completed.
