Partner Contacts

The Partner Contacts page is where you enter internal contacts for a loan.

  • From the Overview page of the loan, click Partner Contacts.

 

The Primary Tab has a set of pre-defined roles you can assign. Any other contacts that do not fit into one of the fields on the primary tab can be assigned on the Other tab.

To assign a Partner Contact on the Primary tab:

  • Type in the name of the contact in the field corresponding to their role, as you type, the field should filter users till you see the person you are looking for. Click their name to assign them to the role.
  • Click save.

 

If you do not see their name appear it means their user account has not been marked as being eligible for that role. Your site administrator will have to enable their account as an option for the role, please click here for instructions covering this process.

  • To change who is in the role, use the X icon to remove the person already assigned to the role, then make your new selection.

Please Note: If you need to change who has been assigned to the role, you must follow the step above. Do not click on the name, and change the name in the pop up that appears. You are overwriting the old record by doing this and it will affect other areas in Ventures. Always use the X icon!

 

Note: The Law Firm field and Attorney fields are how specific file assignments are made to Law Firms and/or any 3rd party outsourcing being done.

 

Referral Sources

For SBA lenders, the Referral Sources section allows you to pass Agent information to SBA via ETRAN. A site administrator will need to map referral types to SBA agent types for this to function correctly.

To add a referral source:

  • Click Add, a pop up will appear

 

 

  • Select the type of referral from the type dropdown box.
  • Select the Contact you want to add as the referral. If they are not in the system you can use the “Add New” option when you type in their name to add them.
    •  If the referral was from a business use the Company field.
  • Fill in the remaining fields. Be sure to mark whether the 159 Agreement is required by filling in the check mark next to the option.
  • Click Save.

 

The pop up will disappear and you should see the referral you have created in the referral sources table.

To delete a referral source from the table:

  • Click the X icon next to the source you wish to remove.

 

 

  • A confirmation pop up will appear. Click Delete.

  • The source will be removed from the table.

The Other Tab

The Other Tab should be used for any other contact that you want to include that does fit into one of the fields found on the Primary Partner Contacts Tab.

  • Click the Other tab.
  • Click Add, a pop up will appear.

 

 

  • Use the Type drop down menu to select the type of contact you are adding.
  • Type in the contact name in the Contact Field, if they have been correctly assigned to the type you selected, they will appear as you type. Click them to select them.
  • Add comments if you wish.
  • Click Save

If you erroneously select the wrong name, use the X icon to remove the person you selected, then make your new selection.

Do not click on the name, and change the name in the pop up that appears. You are overwriting the old record by doing this and it will affect other areas in Ventures. Always use the X icon!

  • Once you click save the pop up will disappear and you should see the person you selected in the table on the “Other” tab.

To remove them from the table and the “Other” tab:

  • Click the X button.

 

 

  • A confirmation message will pop up, click Delete.

Adding People to the lists on the Partner Contacts Other Tab

If their name does not appear, it means the account has not been assigned a role that corresponds to the type of contact you are adding. You will need to assign the role to the Contact.

  • Click on Contacts in the menu at the top of the screen.
  • When the menu page loads, search for the name of the contact you want to assign the role to. When you find them, click their hyperlinked name.

 

 

  • The edit contact pop up will appear. Click the Roles drop down field and make sure selection from the options in the field. You can assign as many roles as you would like to a Contact.
  • When you finish click Save.

This will add the Contact as an option for the specific Partner Role in the other tab.
