The System Preferences section is an important section set up when initially accessing your Ventures site.

It contains options that affect Personal Financial Statements. Only site administrators can make changes to the system preferences.

• Click on Administration in the menu at the top of the screen.
• Click System Preferences in the menu on the left.
• First select whether you want to Auto-Calculate FICA taxes. If you want to enable auto calculation of FICA taxes, click the check box to fill in a check mark and enable the option.
• Next use the Link Schedules check box to select whether you want specific fields in new financial periods you create to be linked.
• You can enter a Default Rental Coverage Margin.
• You can choose whether you want the Living Expenses Formula to use the AGI formula, Debt formula or you can select None to Calculate it manually.
• When you make your selections Click save.
