Where do I download the data file to import into Ventures?

  • The Loan Data File is downloaded from the SBA Lender Portal, and then imported into Ventures.

Please Note: Your import file needs to include the Redwood column. If you have downloaded the export template before SBA made their changes, please re-export before trying to import into Ventures.

Importing Scores into Ventures:

  • Mouse over Data in the Ventures menu near the top of your Ventures site.
  • Click on Imports.
  • In the menu on the left click SBA.
  • In the SBA submenu click Loan Business Credit Score.
  • Click on the Select or Drop file button to select the file you want to import from your local machine. Alternatively you can drag and drop the files to the marked area to start the import process.

  • Once your file uploads, the Import button will activate, click the Import button

After importing the file, you will see a history of what happened during import. It will show X number of loan scores imported, X number of loans skipped because they were not found, and X number of loans that had invalid values. Any loan that did not have a score (NULL in the spreadsheet) will not be imported. In the example below, you would read the history as follows:

  • 266 loan scores have been imported and updated in Ventures
  • 0 loans in the spreadsheet were skipped because a record of that loan could not be found in Ventures
  • 221 loans had scores that were invalid (did not have an actual score), and therefore, not imported.
  • This means there were a total of 487 loans/records (266 + 221)  in the spreadsheet

What does Invalid mean?

  • If you have loans that have invalid values this means they are no longer being serviced by you within your portfolio. Charged off, Prepaid, Paid Off, etc. loans are not scored on the Lender Portal report.

Where does the score import within a loan?
